Hi Hon,
We got your letter this morning and was surprised to hear from you again within 1 week. You said that everyone had quit writing well hon my letter was late last week because I thought maybe you were coming home as we hadn’t heard from you.
Well I’m all done with work. I signed up for unemployment last Wed. I can’t go the same day as Dad so we have to make 2 trips to Watertown a week. Dad an Henry Jr and Ralph Newman went Tuesday hunting and they came back Wednesday nite they were going to stay another day but it started snowing so hard that they came home. It snowed awfully hard Wednesday night and the roads were awfully slippery. It was awfully cold last nite down to 10 above. It has snowed today some we only got about 1 inch now.
Henry Sr and Henry Jr both got new cars I wrote to you this summer about Sr getting a new car. Jr. just got his car this fall. Henry Jr is getting over $400 disability.
I called Sharon and told her what you said about writing and she said she guess she had better get a letter out to you. They went to Watertown Monday with us and Lois walked into Dad’s cigarette and burned her under her eye. Dad feels terrible over it but it wasn’t his fault. She is a cute little shit but she is always getting hurt.
Dad is down to Sheldon’s fixing his standard for his oil drums. I thought he would be back here by now. Al and Alice were suppose to come down today and stay until Sunday but Alice called and said Al was sick he had too much to drink yesterday. He isn’t very good anyhow he can’t go back to work until December 22.
No one seems to be getting any deer this year. Loyd Higgins and Ralph Lee went down to the southern tier but they didn’t get anything. It has been a bad year for hunting I guess. I told you in my lat letter that Mim and Loyd had bought the Tavern, George Kovalik is over there he is right up to the front lines according to his father yesterday.
Your pictures look as if you have gained a little weight.
Well Hon, I can’t think of anything more to write about. Take good care of my boy and keep writing.
Love

Dear Craig,
Next period I have a test in Driver Ed. I should study but---. We got our rings this morning, they’re sort of hard to explain except they’re on the round side.
Yesterday we went on our picnic, it was rather rotten all together, weather, food, etc. The whole day. But I guess I can’t complain seeing it was one day off from school which sort of breaks up the week. We have exactly 4 days of school left then tests start. So I get out of school the 13th but I have a test the 17th prom 19th class night 21st. Graduation the 22nd so I guess you can really say finished.
For a study hall teacher every 7th period I have Les Brown and boy do I hate that guy. Everytime I turn around he’s hollering at me for something even if I’m just sitting there.
Don’t forget, it’s your turn to send a picture of you.
Somebody finally bought Stillson’s house. Don’t know who. They’ve got kids and the oldest is in 8th. Grade.
Well, I can’t think of anything more to say.
I love ya
Love Deb

Hi Craig,
How are you today, fella? Hope you are fine and dandy.
We went boating last night. It was a beautiful night and we really enjoyed. Stopped at Shangra La and had a few cold beers.
We have been having very hot weather. Today it is between 85 and 90 and very humid.
George Goodfriend is now in Vietnam. Guess I told you that before. I read one of his letters last nite and he sounded as though he expects to be leaving there and going to either Korea or Okinawa. His bride is in Florida with her folks.
Belle Klock was found unconscious at her home last Sunday morning and taken to hospital by the T.M.B. Rescue Squad. Last report that I heard is that she is still unconscious. They figure something happened to her Friday night and she wasn’t found until Sunday morning.
Webb Daniels is leaving for college next week. He’s going to University of Southern California. He will be studying to be a lawyer.
Frances Adams hurt her knee and she is using crutches for a few days.
Dot Brimmer and her girlfriend from Watertown flew to Salt Lake City yesterday to spend a two weeks vacation. Life of Riley, eh?
Les and Diane Comins are now living in their new home that they are building on Point Salabrious.
Guess what! Alan Piche walked into Quick Motors the other day and bought a 1967 Cadillac Convertible. Can you believe it? I mearly fell over.
I heard that Gordon Torrey is going to build a landing strip for his airplanes o the Three Mild Point road right next to the new highway that goes around there.
Every night I watch Don Lance take his plane out. He flies over the Point Peninsula to do his chores and inspect his cattle.
Bubby Radley sold his helicopter.
Guess that’s all the news I can think of for now.
Take real good care now. And drop a line to your folks.
Love,
Grace and Kenn
