From Deb on Sunday Night

From Debbie Russell Three Mile Bay New York 13693

Sunday night June 29, 1968

Dear Craig,
Maybe things won’t be as bad as I thought they would be. Mrs. Moulton, (against my own will) asked her baby sitter to take me swimming. She is nice. She’s my age and quite cute. So, we ended up going to a country club pool. It was crowded so we didn’t stay long. Every Monday night they have a teen center meeting and she wants me to go. I don’t want to but I’ll end up going. Knowing Mr. M. she’s probably already accepted for me. Just a while ago she called me up and asked me to go to the movies with her.
The only thing I hope I can do is to get out of going to camp. The only real good thing about meeting BJ (Barbara Jean) is that it will bring Tuesday here quicker. I think that she said the name of it (movie) was “Private Warfare” but I’m not sure.
Right now Mrs. And Mr. Moulton have another couple downstairs having cocktails. So that leaves me upstairs listening to the radio and writing to you but, I don’t mind. It seems good to be able to listen to the radio again. When we were down in N.J. we didn’t have a radio, clock, TV, calendar or anything, so we never knew what time of day it was or anything.
I’ve got three pieces of paper left so I’ll use that up and write you a letter tomorrow.
Love and miss ya,
Deb
